The Republican Hindu Coalition condemned the academic conference Dismantling Global Hindutva, held September 10 to 12 and cosponsored by departments at more than fifty universities. The coalition called the event part of a pattern of bias against Hindus and urged sponsors to reconsider.
The Dismantling Global Hindutva Conference to be held September 10th – 12th exemplifies a historical pattern of persecution against Hindus from around the world. For over 800 years, Hindus have been the victim of unwarranted persecution and the world’s largest act of genocide, where more than 80 Million have been massacred.
The Republican Hindu Coalition strongly condemns this ongoing bigotry against Hindus and we will always stand strong for our brothers and sisters in this ongoing fight – we must unite against “Hinduphobia.” Any University and/or organization complicit in support of this conference, we call on you to reassess your values and to understand the role you play in influencing our youth, and society as a whole.
Please open your eyes, research Aurangzeb, Tuglak, 1971 East Pakistan and the 1990 Kashmir Genocide – instill a curriculum that supports an unbiased and accurate telling of history. Allowing space for this conference and its hateful rhetoric is playing a significant role in shaping ignorance and detracts from the true meaning of Hinduism – additionally it is not representative of the many valuable contributions the Hindu people have made throughout history.
