Shalli Kumar received the One Globe 2017 Award for Excellence in Entrepreneurship, presented at the One Globe Forum in Mumbai on February 10, 2017. The Republican Hindu Coalition release cited his work in automation control and electronics and his 22 US patents.
The One Global Forum honored Chicago-based Indian-American industrialist Shalabh "Shalli" Kumar, Chairman and CEO of AVG Advanced Technologies and founder of the Republican Hindu Coalition, with its 2017 Award for Excellence in Entrepreneurship.
The forum recognized Kumar for his work transforming the electronics equipment industry through a focus on innovation and design, and for his role in strengthening the Indo-American relationship. He was joined at the ceremony by a number of business and community leaders.
