One of the principal goals of the Caucus is to integrate Hindu Americans into the mainstream of the Republican Party and to give a voice to a community that has often been overlooked. Party leaders also recognized the growing importance of Hindu Americans as a voting bloc, with roughly 6 million Hindus now living in the United States.
The Republican Hindu Coalition welcomed the formation of the Caucus as a milestone in its long effort to build a durable Hindu-American voice on Capitol Hill.
