RHC Mission Statement
Republican Hindu Coalition shall provide a single unified platform to build a strong, effective & respected Hindu-American voice in Washington and across the country. RHC shall become a unique bridge between the Hindu-American community and Republican Party Leaders. It shall promote the social, economic, political, cultural, religious, and spiritual interests of Hindus. We shall make the best and relentless efforts to make the 21st Century to be an Indo-American Century through an exponential increase in bilateral trade between India and the US and a strategic alliance between the two countries at all levels.
Core Principles
1. Free Enterprise, with Limited and Smaller Government:
RHC believes that both material and spiritual human prosperity come from free enterprise where individuals are free to pursue their dreams and aspirations, where private enterprise creates economic expansion and jobs, where government involvement in the lives of its citizens in very limited. Human development comes from individuals, families and communities and not from government which only spends tax-payer’s money without much regard for its value and keeps on getting bigger and bigger. Smaller limited government automatically means lower taxes.
2. Fiscal Discipline:
RHC strongly believes in a Constitutional Amendment to balance the budget. No government should be allowed to spend more than what it takes. Planning a 6% increase for a department’s budget and then reducing it by 2% to 4% is not fiscal discipline. Government should behave like individuals, families and businesses who have to reign in and control their spending based on their income. No individual department should be sacrosanct from reducing spending to make it more efficient.
3. Family Values:
RHC believes that the foundation of any community or nation comes from its families. Strong families mean strong nation. Governments should not, in the name of empathy, should encourage behaviors that break up families, like single parenting, abortions and use of drugs.
4. Firm Foreign Policy:
United States as leader of the Free world needs to have a firm foreign policy to combat radical Islam, discourage dictatorial regimes and contain territorial expansions. Peace can only be maintained in the world through strength.
